Daily Bible study π guide- who is the true God?
According to the Bible, the one true God is the eternal, all-powerful Creator of the universe—Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This God is revealed throughout Scripture as:
- π Spirit: “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:24).
- π Creator: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1).
- π₯ Holy and Just: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty” (Isaiah 6:3); He is righteous and judges with justice.
- ❤️ Loving and Personal: “God is love” (1 John 4:8); He desires a relationship with humanity.
- ✝️ Revealed in Jesus Christ: Christians believe that the fullness of God is revealed in Jesus, who said, “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father” (John 14:9).
The Bible contrasts the true God with idols or false gods—man-made and powerless. As one source puts it, the true God is “sovereign, self-existent, eternal, omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent”.( Numbers 23:19;Hosea 11:9)
